What happens under the chassis
The principles behind its results, and the settings we make at commissioning.
Four actions, one pass
The side brush brings debris in from the edges, the roller scrubs, suction picks up the dirty water behind the squeegee. On carpet, the robot switches to vacuuming. Six preset modes cover the usual cases, including a quiet mode for care homes and hotels and an anti-splash mode for floors with grout lines.
It resumes where it stopped
Low battery, empty clean tank or full dirty tank: it returns to its station on its own, recharges or empties, then goes back to where it stopped. Water recovery can be set to standard, fast or quiet depending on the time of day.
A map split into small zones
We divide the floor into short zones. If access is blocked by a pallet or a trolley, the robot skips that section and carries on with the rest of the task, instead of dropping the whole plan.
What trips up a laser robot
Polished metal, matt black surfaces, glass, mirrors, suspended shelving, very thin poles: these obstacles read poorly by laser. At commissioning, we surround them with virtual walls or no-go zones, and the glass zone protects the doors of refrigerated display cases.
Carpet and hard floor, two separate tasks
A virtual wall separates carpet zones from hard-floor zones. On carpet it sweeps and vacuums; on hard floors it scrubs. After carpet, the parts are changed and the dirty water duct, loaded with hair and fibres, is rinsed.
It works as a team
An MT1 can sweep ahead of it while it scrubs behind, and two robots give way to each other in narrow corridors. Accessories extend its uses: beacon light, fragrance diffuser or mister.

Three stations to choose from
A docking station that fills, drains and doses detergent, a self-cleaning station that washes the brush and squeegee, and a mobile water station where no water point is available. No plumbing work is needed with the mobile station.
A few simple tasks
Empty the 2.5 L dust bin, rinse the dirty water tank and the squeegee, remove hair from the roller after a carpet task. We show your team these steps at commissioning.
Wear parts that are tracked
Rollers, side brush, squeegees and filters wear at the pace of the areas cleaned. The robot monitors the condition of its cleaning parts; in our offer, replacements are scheduled and included in the contract.
Six operational questions
Does it use the lift?
Yes. It calls the car through a cloud control compatible with the major brands (KONE, OTIS, Schindler, Mitsubishi) and their integrators, or through a unit installed by your lift company. During the site survey, we check the door width, the gap between car and landing, and mobile coverage inside the car.
And doors, access gates?
A wireless module opens automatic doors and access gates: the robot moves from zone to zone without anyone stepping in. Fire doors are handled case by case with your fire safety team.
Stairs and loading docks?
Virtual walls and no-go zones block risk areas on the map, and its depth sensors detect a drop of 10 cm or more. Near a staircase or a dock, we add magnetic strips or reflective markers as back-up.
Thick carpet?
It vacuums low-pile carpet up to about 1 cm thick, with the dedicated carpet nozzle. Beyond that, or for shampooing, a periodic manual pass is still needed.
A large empty hall?
A laser robot finds its bearings on walls and fixed objects. In an open hall with no landmark over several tens of metres, or a shop whose displays change often, we place a few discreet markers that make its position reliable.
A dusty workshop?
When dry sweeping on an industrial floor, a dust skirt fitted around the chassis limits particles being thrown up: it is the solution the manufacturer used in a display-manufacturing clean room littered with glass fragments.

It is no longer a technological curiosity: it is one of the most widely deployed commercial cleaning robots, and the model that made Pudu's name in the cleaning sector.

Four machines in a 66 cm chassis
The CC1's promise lies in its 4-in-1 design: it sweeps (side brush, 500 mm effective width), it scrubs (roller brush, 400 mm), it vacuums (up to a rated 17,000 Pa, carpet included with the dedicated kit) and it dust-mops in a quiet mopping mode. Where a site used to juggle a sweeper, a scrubber-dryer and a vacuum, a single machine now performs all four tasks in sequence, with a stated working distance of less than 2 cm from the skirting.
On hard floors it sweeps, then scrubs and recovers the dirty water with its squeegee, leaving a clean and almost dry surface in one pass. On carpet it switches to vacuuming. The orchestration is the real product: a complete cleaning sequence where several separate interventions used to be needed.
Its territory: office-type premises from a few hundred to a few thousand m²
Offices and head offices, hotel lobbies and corridors, shops, schools, clinics and care homes, restaurants: the CC1 targets indoor spaces that need regular cleaning rather than industrial deep cleaning. At under 70 cm wide it fits where a ride-on machine cannot, and its handling of lifts and access gates (IoT modules) opens up multi-storey buildings without an escort.
Its noise level of under 70 dB(A) allows daytime work alongside the building's occupants: a change of approach compared with night cleaning by default, and one of the most valued benefits in day-to-day operation.
Operation: the stations make the autonomy
The robot monitors its own status continuously: low battery, clean water exhausted or recovery tank full, and returns to its station on its own to recharge, refill or drain before resuming its task where it left off. The water station handles filling, draining and detergent dosing without any plumbing work.
PUDU SLAM navigation fuses cameras and LiDAR, handles multiple maps and multiple floors, and its dynamic obstacle avoidance steers around people, trolleys and furniture in real time. Every run uploads a time-stamped report to the cloud: consistency becomes verifiable.
Points to watch, and how our service covers them
The 15-litre tanks limit continuous scrubbing to medium-sized areas; carpet vacuuming requires a dedicated kit; the permissible gradient while cleaning remains low (flat floors); and some values (brush pressure, IP rating) are not published by the manufacturer. These are limits of format, not flaws: they define its territory.

PUDU CC1 or Keenon KLEENBOT C30. This is the most requested comparison, and the most misleading: the C30 is a 61 cm dry sweeper-vacuum with a long runtime and a docking station, built for the dust and debris of lobbies and sales floors; the CC1 scrubs and dries.
