What lets it go outside
The MT1 Max shares the MT1's productivity. Here is what makes it an outdoor sweeper, and what we check on your site.
It senses the rain
A rain sensor sends it to a shelter point set on the map as soon as a shower starts, then it resumes its task. Fallback zones go under a canopy or at the entrance of the covered car park.
A mode designed for car parks
Car park mode recognises lanes, junctions and speed bumps. It spots a vehicle up to 18 m away and pulls aside to let it pass; around a parked car it keeps 0.6 m, around a lorry 3 m.
A 3D LiDAR with long reach
Its 3D LiDAR sees up to 150 m and covers +15° to -55°: it reads kerbs, pavements and low obstacles that a flat laser misses. Large open spaces, where an indoor robot gets lost, stay readable.
From cold to heat
It works from -10 to 45 °C, lasts 3 h at -15 °C in a cold store and returns on its own if the ground goes above 60 °C in full sun. A heavy dust mode handles frosty vapour in cold stores.
It can be seen from afar
A raised safety light and a floor projection signal it to drivers and pedestrians between bays. With the light it stands 1.20 m tall: to be checked under car park barriers.
The filter clears itself
A vibrating module shakes the F9 filter to loosen dust: over the long runs of a sandy car park, suction stays effective without stopping to clear it.

A 35 L bin to empty
Sand, leaves, cigarette ends and grit fill the bin faster than indoors. Emptying by hand takes seconds; the auto-empty station announced by Pudu for the MT1 Max will take over.
Brushes exposed to abrasion
Outdoors, sand and grit wear brushes faster than the 6 to 12 months stated for indoor use. We track their wear at each visit, and replacement is included in our contract.
A sheltered dock
The charging dock goes in a dry, covered area close to the surfaces to be cleaned. It is often also the fallback point chosen for rain.
Six operational questions
An open-air car park?
Yes. Rated IP54 and fitted with a rain sensor, it sweeps open-air car parks, forecourts and yards. In heavy rain it returns to shelter and resumes afterwards.
Ramps and speed bumps?
It crosses 5 cm speed bumps and travels on slopes up to 8°. Steeper ramps are excluded: each level is handled separately, or it changes level in a goods lift.
Barriers and headroom?
It clears 72 cm without its light, 1.20 m with it. We measure clear heights (barriers, ducts, beams) during the site survey.
Oil and fuel?
It picks up dry debris, it does not scrub. Oil stains in a car park call for scrubbing or a dedicated treatment, which we plan separately.
Dock edges and embankments?
Virtual walls and no-go zones on the map, sensors that detect a drop: dock edges and ditches are excluded. We add physical markers where the risk calls for it.
A cold store?
Yes, up to 3 h at -15 °C, with a heavy dust mode suited to frost. Beyond that, it comes out to warm up and recharge.

Understanding the PUDU MT1 Max
There is one boundary most cleaning robots have never crossed: the exit door. The MT1 Max was designed for that grey zone of the semi-outdoors, rain-swept car parks and yards where lorries manoeuvre, that nobody knew how to hand over to a machine. Launched in summer 2025 and recognised with a Red Dot Design Award, it is the most hardened member of the MT1 family.

A dry sweeper hardened for the outdoors
Stripped to the essentials: a central roller picks up the debris, two side brushes sweep inwards to the centre, and filtered suction sends everything into a 35 litre hopper. A dry pick-up machine, for dead leaves, cigarette ends, grit, paper and dust, with sweeping rated right up to the edges, where grime builds up against bollards and kerbs.
Its decisive advantage fits in four characters: IP54. Protection against harmful dust and water spray from any direction, complemented by a rain sensor and perception tuned for night work and high ceilings that are difficult to map.
Compact where its competitors are massive
85 kilos in a footprint barely larger than a sack truck, when most machines aimed at very large areas weigh several hundred kilos: the MT1 Max stays manoeuvrable, fits in a goods lift, and can be moved by a single technician.
The manufacturer quotes sites of up to 100,000 m² managed with multiple maps: multi-storey and open-air car parks, loading docks, forecourts, campuses. Anywhere covered and uncovered zones, pedestrians and vehicles, fine cleaning and coarse debris all mix together.
Its place in the MT1 family
The choice is straightforward: for a fully indoor, sheltered site, the standard MT1 is enough; for carpet and fine dust, it is the MT1 Vac; as soon as a site combines vehicles, abrasive dust, water spray or exposed night work, the Max takes over.
It is typically the machine for shopping centre car parks, the semi-open zones of logistics platforms and the covered surroundings of industrial sites.
Points to watch, and how our service covers them
The MT1 Max picks up; it does not wet anything. It will not leave a floor gleaming, and the oil stains in a car park call for a different treatment. IP54 protects against spray, not immersion or extreme weather: the rain sensor stops work when conditions go beyond that envelope. The demonstration defines precisely which zones can be handled by the robot and at what frequency; brush servicing, with brushes exposed to abrasive material in semi-outdoor use, is part of the maintenance included, together with the 72-hour continuity guarantee.
