Purchase + maintenance

The price of the machine and the price of the maintenance contract are given to you after the demonstration. The robot becomes your asset, the servicing stays with us. It is exactly the same equipment as the machines we run under a service contract.

Not every site needs a service contract. Some have their own technical team, a capital budget and an operation that will not change for years. Buying makes sense in that case, and we say so plainly. We then sell the machine and stay on the maintenance, because a robot that is not serviced ends up as a robot that is not running. Easy to Clean is an authorised Pudu distributor: the full range, the service and the maintenance are set out on the dedicated page.

The robot Your asset priced after the demonstration
Monthly contract servicing, parts and updates
4 to 5 years typical depreciation period

The price depends on the model and on the configuration chosen, including the docking station, the filling point and the accessories. The maintenance figure depends on your floors and on the number of daily runs. Both are settled after the demonstration. To place a quotation against published market prices, see our guide to the total cost of a robot.

What the sale includes

  • The robot and its complete configuration: docking station, filling point, accessories.
  • Delivery and installation on site.
  • Commissioning mapping, zoning, and setting the running times sector by sector.
  • Training for your cleaning teams, on site, from half a day to two days depending on the size of the site.
  • The manufacturer's warranty on the manufacturer's terms, which we administer for you.
  • The documentation operating manual and first-line procedures.

What the maintenance contract covers

  • Preventive servicing visits planned around how hard the machine is actually worked.
  • Wear parts brushes, squeegees and filters, changed on schedule rather than after a failure.
  • Software updates navigation keeps improving, and so does your machine.
  • Repairs on-site attendance under contract.
  • Remote monitoring machine health and run reports, as on a full-service contract.
  • A loan machine optional, while a robot is out of action for a long period.
Step by step

How it works

  1. 1

    The on-site demonstration

The same as under the full-service contract. We bring the machine to you, on your floors. That is what settles the model and the settings, and therefore the price.

  2. 2

    The quotation

Two separate lines: the equipment and the maintenance contract. You know exactly what you are paying for, and why.

  3. 3

    Delivery and commissioning

Installation, mapping, settings zone by zone. The robot is ready to work by the time we leave.

  4. 4

    Training

Your operatives learn how to start a run, empty the tanks, clean the accessories and read the reports.

  5. 5

    Maintenance

Planned visits, parts changed at the right moment, updates applied. We monitor wear remotely and step in before a breakdown.

What buying involves

The risks that you take on

Buying means taking back four risks that renting leaves with us. None of them is a deal breaker; they simply need to be on the table before you decide.

Breakdown

Replacement is not guaranteed

The contract covers attendance on site. A loan machine during a long period out of action remains an option. On a full-service contract, a replacement robot within 72 working hours is included.

Obsolescence

The machine ages on your balance sheet

Depreciation and technology risk are yours, as with any equipment. Under a rental they stay with us: the fleet is renewed at no cost to you.

A site that changes

Changing model means reselling

If your floor area grows or a covering is replaced, a machine you own will not necessarily keep up. Under a rental it is swapped for the model that fits.

Capital

Budget committed to a cleaning machine

The money is tied up, and the resale value of a commercial cleaning robot remains hard to predict.

If you would rather tie up nothing and transfer the risk, the same equipment is available as a full-service contract, for a monthly fee. See the full-service contract →

Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask us before signing

Is the maintenance contract compulsory?

Yes. It cannot be separated from the purchase: a commercial cleaning robot has wear parts, brushes, squeegees and filters, whose replacement rate depends directly on your floors, and it needs regular software updates. The contract covers preventive servicing, those parts and those updates. It is what allows us to guarantee that the machine keeps working over the years, exactly as on a full-service contract.

What exactly does the contract cover?

Planned preventive servicing, wear parts, software updates and repairs on site. A loan robot while a machine is out of action is an option here, unlike the full-service contract, where it is included.

Why is the contract not a fixed amount?

Because wear depends on the floor and on how hard the machine works. Power-floated concrete in a warehouse wears brushes out far faster than office tiling, and three runs a day do not cost the same as one. The figure is settled after the demonstration, once we know your real conditions.

Over how long should it be depreciated?

A commercial cleaning robot is usually depreciated over four to five years. Your accountant will decide on the basis of how you use it, but that is the usual order of magnitude for this kind of equipment.

Can we buy several robots and keep only one under contract?

The contract is priced per machine, though a fleet earns a lower rate per unit. Covering only part of the fleet is possible, even if we do not recommend it: machines that are not followed deteriorate faster and end up costing more.

What happens once the manufacturer's warranty ends?

The maintenance contract takes over servicing and wear parts, which the warranty does not cover in any case. For failures that are covered, we handle the relationship with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Can we move from purchase to the service contract?

Yes. Some operators buy for a pilot site and then switch to the service contract when they equip the rest of the estate, so as not to tie up capital again and again.

We settle on the right robot during the demonstration

We look at your floors, decide on the machine, and price both options.
