Tennant X6 ROVR · specs, operator review and alternatives (2026)

The Tennant X6 ROVR is a medium-to-large autonomous floor scrubber, launched in 2025 and designed from the outset as a robot, for retail, logistics, education and complex sites. It scrubs a 650 mm path, carries 95 L of water, runs for 6 h and stands out as the only ROVR that accepts a dock (optional XC1 station: charging, filling and draining). It runs the SelfPath navigation software, updated in April 2026. Price and availability on request.

Fit by environment

Surface tier95 L of water and 6 h of runtime: medium and large surfaces. In capacity it sits between the X4 ROVR (38 L) and the large AMRs (T16, 190 L), covering the mid-range of complex sites.

Floors and soiling

A disc scrubber for hard floors on medium and large surfaces, including multi-zone sites. No carpet. Large debris must be swept up beforehand. Its value lies in combining capacity (95 L, 6 h) with cycle autonomy thanks to the optional dock.

What the manufacturer does not say

The only ROVR with a dock. The optional XC1 station automates charging, filling and draining: this is the structural difference from the X4 ROVR, which has none. On a large site, it is what makes it possible to keep up the pace.

A very recent product, still evolving. Launched in April 2025, with a SelfPath navigation update in April 2026: earlier comparisons describe a different product. Assess it on its current version.

The dock is optional, and its price is not public. As is often the case, full autonomy has a cost beyond the machine itself. Cost structure: machine + optional XC1 dock + consumables.

Buying or contracting out

If you buy (capex), the X6 ROVR is the only machine in its range with a dock (optional XC1) to automate charging, water and draining, but it is very recent and is still evolving through navigation updates: a moving target, to be evaluated in a pilot.
