Tennant T7AMR · specifications, operator review and alternatives (2026)

The Tennant T7AMR is a ride-on autonomous floor scrubber launched in 2019, one of the first of the AMR wave, aimed at retail, supermarkets and logistics. It scrubs a 660 mm path, carries 110 L of water and runs continuously thanks to opportunity charging (up to 13 h in 24). It can also be driven manually. One point to watch: in robot mode it takes no gradient at all, so a level floor is mandatory. Price and availability on request.

Footprint / aisles660 mm ride-on base: clear aisles are needed, but it is less bulky than the T16.

Floors and soiling

Disc scrubber-dryer for hard floors: stuck-on and wet soiling, no carpet. Large debris must be pre-swept. The structural issue is topography: robot mode accepts no gradient at all, which makes it a machine for level floors only.

What the manufacturer does not say

Zero gradient in autonomous mode. This is the most important eligibility criterion, and it is not given prominence: a site with the slightest ramp cannot run it as a robot.

Productivity figures not to be confused. Tennant publishes an area per charge (m² per charge), not an observed m²/h: the two are not comparable.

No published client reference for this model (mentions of the global BrainOS fleet are not clients). A 2019 platform, to be weighed against the more recent ROVR models. Cost structure: machine plus consumables plus manual water handling.

Purchase or outsourced service

On a purchase (capex), the structural constraint is the zero gradient in robot mode: a site with the slightest ramp cannot run it autonomously, and water handling has to be managed in-house.
