i-team i-mop XL and i-walk 46 · specs, operator review and alternatives (2026)

The i-team i-mop XL is an upright walk-behind scrubber (pushed and steered by an operator; it is not a robot), available in Basic and Pro versions. It scrubs a 460 mm path, weighs 22.5 kg and fits in a car boot. The i-walk 46 is a cobotic platform that attaches to any i-mop XL built since 2014 and turns it into an autonomous robot in under a minute. Worth knowing: in autonomous mode, observed productivity (700 m²/h) is lower than that of a pushed i-mop XL (1,000 to 1,300 m²/h). Price and availability on request.

Fit by environment

Nature of the offerTo be clear from the outset: the i-mop XL is not a robot, it is a walk-behind scrubber. The i-walk 46 is what makes it autonomous. You are therefore buying either a capable manual scrubber, or its upgrade to autonomy.
Surface tier4 / 8 L tanks: small and medium surfaces. Runtime of 90 min on the i-mop, 4 to 7 h with the i-walk 46.
Footprint / aislesVery compact (22.5 kg, 460 mm, fits in a car boot): ideal for cluttered areas and small sites, where a standard scrubber cannot get through.
Autonomous productivityKey point: in i-walk 46 mode, observed productivity drops to 700 m²/h, below the 1,000 to 1,300 of a pushed i-mop. Autonomy is paid for in throughput: factor it into the calculation.
Floors and soilingCounter-rotating brushes, effective on hard floors. No carpet, outdoor use not permitted.
Pro advantageThe Pro adds an anti-corrosion coating (swimming pools, saunas), i-link cloud monitoring and i-dose dosing: relevant in wet environments and for managing a fleet.

Floors and soiling

A counter-rotating brush scrubber for hard floors: stubborn, wet soiling in small, cluttered spaces (offices, retail, healthcare, hotels). No carpet, no outdoor use. Large debris must be swept up beforehand. The Pro extends the scope to wet environments thanks to its anti-corrosion coating.

What the manufacturer does not say

The i-mop XL is not a robot. It is a walk-behind scrubber: comparing it with an autonomous robot without the i-walk 46 misses the point. The i-walk 46 is the autonomy module.

Autonomy costs productivity. In i-walk 46 mode, observed productivity falls to 700 m²/h, against 1,000 to 1,300 when pushed: the robot is slower than the operator. Weigh this against your need (freeing up time versus raw throughput).

The i-walk 46 is a retrofit asset. It makes any i-mop XL sold since 2014 autonomous: an existing fleet can move to autonomy without changing machines. Cost structure: i-mop XL + i-walk 46 + batteries + consumables.

Buying or contracting out

If you buy (capex), the i-mop XL on its own is a walk-behind scrubber; autonomy requires the i-walk 46 module, at the price of lower productivity (700 m²/h) than in manual use. The trade-off between freeing up time and raw throughput is precisely what a full-service contract (opex) carries, along with the continuity commitment. Strengths and limitations

Strengths

  • Very compact (22.5 kg), counter-rotating brushes, fits in a car boot.
  • i-walk 46: makes any i-mop XL built since 2014 autonomous, in under 1 min.
  • Pro: anti-corrosion coating (swimming pools, saunas), cloud monitoring, i-dose dosing.

Limitations

  • The i-mop XL on its own is not autonomous.
  • Autonomous productivity (700 m²/h) is lower than in pushed use.
  • 4 / 8 L tanks, no carpet, no outdoor use.

Alternatives

  • In the i-team range: the co-botic 45 and co-botic 65 (fully autonomous robots) for a dedicated robot.
  • Against compact autonomous scrubbers: the Gausium Scrubber 50 Pro and the Pudu CC1 / SH1.

For a comparison with the Pudu CC1, see the Pudu CC1 profile. To put figures on it: request a quotation, weigh up rental against purchase, or book an on-site demonstration.
