Nilfisk Liberty SC50 · specifications, operator review and alternatives (2026)
The Nilfisk Liberty SC50 is a compact stand-on autonomous floor scrubber launched in 2018 for supermarkets, airports, schools, healthcare facilities and warehouses. It scrubs a 510 mm width, carries 57 L of water and integrates Ecoflex dosing (water and detergent on demand). It stands out for a UVGI variant with ultraviolet disinfection, useful in healthcare. A proven but ageing platform (Carnegie Robotics navigation), with no dock. Price and availability on request.

Floors and soiling
A compact disc scrubber for hard floors: stuck-on and wet soiling on concrete, tiles, PVC, stone and resin. No carpet. Coarse debris must be swept up first. The UVGI variant adds UV disinfection without replacing scrubbing: it is a hygiene supplement, not a cleaning mode.
What the manufacturer does not say
The UVGI variant is the real differentiator. Ultraviolet disinfection, alongside scrubbing, sets the SC50 apart in healthcare and sensitive facilities. It is an asset the standard data sheet does not always highlight.
The platform dates from 2018. Carnegie Robotics navigation is proven, but ageing: weigh it against the ROVR and other recent purpose-built robots before buying new.
Beware of the "passage" figure. The 1,593 mm is a U-turn in an aisle, not a minimum passage width: the machine is 761 mm wide. Cost structure: machine plus consumables plus manual water handling.
Purchase or outsourced service
On purchase (capex), the UVGI variant opens up ultraviolet disinfection in healthcare, but the platform dates from 2018 and deserves to be weighed against recent purpose-built robots before buying new. Under an outsourced service (opex), the contractor carries that generation choice and the continuity risk. See the catalogue and the demonstration, or our robotic cleaning offer.
