LionsBot R3 Vac · specifications, operator review and alternatives (2026)

The LionsBot R3 Vac is a compact autonomous vacuum launched in 2023 for offices, retail, hotels, healthcare and education. It vacuums a 550 mm path (350 mm without the side brushes), handles carpet, and stands out for its HEPA H13 filtration and quiet operation (61.7 dBA). One point to watch: it cannot use lifts or open doors, so each mission is confined to a single floor. Price on request.

Reading by environment

Floor area bandVacuuming of medium-sized areas. The 6 L bin is modest: on a large site, check how often it needs emptying under real conditions.
Footprint / aislesCompact (53 kg), edge-to-edge vacuuming: comfortable in furnished spaces, offices and hotels.
Floors and soilingDry vacuuming, carpet included: this is its advantage over scrubber-dryers, which cannot treat carpet. Dust and small debris; bulky waste is out of scope.
Occupancy / hoursStrength: 61.7 dBA and HEPA H13 filtration, quiet and kind to indoor air, suited to daytime work in offices and healthcare.
Multiple floorsA structural limit: it cannot use lifts or open doors. Missions stay on a single floor; on a multi-storey site, a member of staff has to move it between floors.
PlumbingNot applicable: dry machine, no water requirements.

Floors and soiling

Autonomous vacuum for hard floors and carpet: dust and small dry debris, with HEPA H13 filtration for air quality. It does not scrub. Bulky waste is out of scope (6 L bin). It works as a complementary vacuuming unit in offices, hotels and healthcare, to be paired with a scrubber-dryer for wet cleaning.

What the manufacturer does not say

One floor at a time. With no lift integration and no door handling, the R3 Vac is confined to a single storey: on a multi-level site it has to be moved by hand. This is the most important point, and it is often missing from data sheets.

The 6 L bin sets the pace. On a large site, emptying frequency becomes the limiting factor: measure it before sizing the fleet.

HEPA H13 filtration is a genuine health benefit. It captures fine particles, which matters in care settings and offices. Cost structure: machine plus consumables (HEPA filters, rollers).

Purchase or outsourced service

On a purchase (capex), the structural issue is the lack of lift integration: the R3 Vac stays on one floor and has to be moved by hand on a multi-level site, and its 6 L bin sets the pace. Under an outsourced service (opex), the contractor handles these movements and guarantees continuity. See the Pudu range and the on-site demonstration, or our robotic cleaning service.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Handles carpet, HEPA H13 filtration, quiet (61.7 dBA).
  • Edge-to-edge vacuuming, zero-click pairing (MagicTag).
  • Simple to operate (dry machine).

Limits

  • No lift or door handling: a single floor only.
  • 6 L bin: check the emptying frequency.
  • Dry vacuuming only; bulky waste is out of scope.

Alternatives

  • Within the LionsBot range: the R3 Scrub (scrubbing) as a companion unit to cover wet cleaning.
  • Against other autonomous vacuums: the commercial vacuums in the autonomous vacuum group.
