Avidbots Neo 2 · specs, operator review and alternatives (2026)

The Avidbots Neo 2 is a large industrial autonomous floor scrubber launched in 2020 for airports, warehouses, manufacturing sites, shopping centres and large facilities. It scrubs a 660 to 822 mm path depending on the head, carries 109 L of water and offers adjustable brush pressure from 53 to 87 kg, for a rated productivity of 3,120 to 3,850 m²/h. It has major, verifiable references (CVG airport, DHL, Changi, 3M). Two site constraints: almost no gradient capability while scrubbing (0.5%) and a 3-metre U-turn. Price and availability on request.

Reading by environment

Floor area tier109 L tanks and up to 3,850 m²/h: large industrial and airport floors. One of the highest-capacity machines in our database.
Footprint / aisles3-metre U-turn: a hard site constraint that limits it to very large open spaces (airport halls, warehouses). It cannot turn in a standard aisle.
Floors and soilingBrush pressure adjustable up to 87 kg, disc or cylindrical head: effective on stubborn industrial soiling. No carpet. Large debris must be pre-swept.
Public / opening hours75 dBA, among the loudest in our database: better suited to hours without a dense public presence.
Floor / topographyMajor limit: 0.5% gradient while scrubbing, close to none. Strictly level floors; the slightest ramp rules it out. The Neo 2W with a cylindrical head climbs 3%, an alternative if the site has slopes.
PlumbingNo docking station: the 109 / 135 L tanks are filled and emptied by hand; AGM lead-acid battery (heavier, less endurance).

Floors and soiling

A large industrial scrubber for hard floors: adherent, stubborn soiling on concrete, epoxy, tiles and marble, with pressure adjustable up to 87 kg. No carpet. Bulky debris must be pre-swept. This is a deep-scrubbing machine for very large, open industrial and airport floors.

What the manufacturer does not say

The near-zero gradient is the decisive eligibility criterion. 0.5% while scrubbing: level floors are mandatory. A site with even a slight ramp should look at the Neo 2W with a cylindrical head (3%).

The 3-metre U-turn rules out standard aisles. Factor this in from the demonstration onwards: the machine needs very large open spaces to manoeuvre.

Real, major references. CVG airport, DHL, Changi, 3M: a high level of proof, and a transparent manufacturer data sheet. AGM lead-acid battery with no opportunity charging: plan a second battery set for long shifts. Cost structure: machine + battery sets + manual water handling.

Purchase or full-service contract

On purchase (capex), this large Avidbots scrubber needs very large manoeuvring space (3 m U-turn) and its eligibility depends on the site's gradient, limited here to 0.5% while scrubbing, in other words strictly level floors, with water and battery handling to organise in-house. Under a full-service contract (opex), the contractor confirms that eligibility at the demonstration and takes on continuity, as in the referenced deployments. See the Pudu range and the on-site demonstration, or our robotic cleaning service.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • Very large tanks and very high productivity (109 L, up to 3,850 m²/h).
  • Adjustable brush pressure (up to 87 kg), disc or cylindrical head.
  • Major references (CVG, DHL, Changi, 3M), transparent data sheet.

Limits

  • 0.5% gradient while scrubbing: strictly level floors.
  • 3-metre U-turn: very large open spaces only.
  • AGM lead-acid battery, 75 dBA, no docking station.

Alternatives

  • Within the Avidbots range: the Neo 2W (newer, cylindrical head with 3% gradient and debris pick-up); the Kas as the compact option.
  • Against other large autonomous scrubbers: the Kärcher KIRA B 200 and the Tennant T16AMR.
